90年代的印度生活和现在很不一样。那时候消费主义还没有盛行，几乎很少有西方的奢侈品进入印度。和中国人的观念很像，人们向往几乎所有“进口”的东西，而认为所有“印度制造”的东西都是过时的。 本片讲述了90年代的印度，四个孟买中产阶级青年，在这一观念的影响下，合办了一家公司，专为崇洋媚外的印度人提供进口产品。。名厨周伯涛向来身份神秘，此次他冒天下之大不韪，要去日本宪兵大队当主厨。然而周大厨不是男子，却是没人知道的秘密。三个女子以周大厨的名义进驻日本宪兵大队，成为中共打入敌人内部的地下党。。The story of a young group of siblings pretty much abandoned by their parents, surviving by their wits - and humor - on a rough Manchester council estate.
