糸井のぞによる同名マンガをもとにした本作。主人公の幸田すももは生きることも死ぬこともできず、自殺の名所「志手の岬」から徒歩5分にあるオーベルジュ・ギルダを訪れる。店主の白石夕雨子の言葉を受けたすももは、住み込みで働くことに。それぞれに事情を抱えた客が、オーベルジュ・ギルダでの滞在を通して再生していくさまを目の当たりにし、すももの心境に変化が生まれていく。。A wealthy young man is conned into staging a fake kidnapping in order to be a hero and win the affection of a girl he's madly in love with. But when one of the hired kidnappers is accidentally killed during the charade, he's forced to actually save her life while not revealing that it's been a ruse all along.。
