竹林乡自从办起了竹编工艺社，面貌发生了很大的变化。从此参观取经的、检查工作的、采访的、旅游订货的来客络绎不绝，他们成天成月地吃，为了吃，吵嘴、打架、酒精中毒的事屡屡发生，把精明能干的食堂管理员肖望发折腾得啼笑皆非、苦不堪言。一次，省委郭副书记要到乡里检查工作，为他准备的午饭被县里的领导吃了。肖望发只好把绿豆稀饭、馒头、花生米等家常便饭拿出来，心惊肉跳地准备受罚。不料郭副书记却吃得很高兴，竹林乡的乡亲们从中看到了希望。。Ray runs North London's most powerful criminal gang, and his nephew Jude is a polished and successful member. Jude's boyhood friend Jonny comes to Jude with an idea he wants to pitch to Ray| Jude is reluctant to mix friendship with business (and family), but he does arrange a meeting.
